Two Clocks

At night when everything is quiet
I can hear two clocks ticking.
They're never in sync so I just hear
tick tick tock tock
It drives me crazy and makes me want to scream
because it's all I can focus on.
So I close my door or turn on white noise so I can't hear it,
and I let my own thoughts give me other reasons to scream.
Better reasons than the two clocks never in sync.
