The influence of a great teacher can never be erased.
All the teachers teaching now can never be replaced.
And bear in mind, that no teacher gets enough credit, 
of either kind.
They are tasked with the job to fill our minds
With knowledge
And to help us find
Who we are as individuals.
To nudge us onto the correct path.
Who cares about being cool?
They help us become originals
As we fight through the battle ground called school.
They shovel the coal that feeds the fire,
Lift us every day, 
higher and higher.
They inspire us to be ourselves.
They have to put up with the brown-nose, the rebel, and liar.
And you know what?
They do it well,
While we are only waiting for that bell to sound.
And what do they do it for?
You know, it's funny--
They don't do it for the  money.
They don't do it for themselves,
because they can't do it for themselves.
they do it for us.
And I know 
most teenagers, as they board that bus,
Don't have the correct attitude
Toward school
To give teachers the gratitude
That they deserve.
And I know they aren't keeping it in reserve
For another day.
Not even halfway.
So here it is, 
from me to you.
I know this "Thanks" has been long overdue.
So,
