Circled By The Bloodshed
War...bloody disputes between nations and states alike.
Developing hatred for one another.
Waging war to gain power and seize control.
All at the cost of losing loved ones.
Fathers and sons leaving their homes.
Off to the battlefield.
Hoping to return to see the faces of those they love.
Fathers losing their sons
Sons losing their fathers
Families losing both.
Oh, the agonizing pain of losing those we hold dear.
As they push onward, their comrades fall before them.
One by one, they all fall down.
Blood oozing from their lifeless bodies.
Staining the soil, red.
For the ones that survived, images of the war torment them.
The sound of bullets, clinging in their ears
The bodies of their fallen comrades, glued onto their eyes.
All that surrounded them was hell.
Pinned in their trenches.
Circled by the bloodshed.
