Will they listen?
As I’m storming off into my bedroom.
Slamming the door and rattling the house.
Will they listen?
When they knock on my door and I scream, “Go away!”
When I no longer want their help anymore.
Will they listen?
When the rest of the house is asleep—except my mind.
The silent sobbing that fills the late night hours.
Will they listen?
