The Inevitable

I tripped
I fell
I continued to fall
You caught me,
Told me I would never fall again,
Then you threw me.
I got caught in the wind
There I was falling away again.
I continued to drift
Falling fast
Sure flat bottom
Would not be too far away.
Until…spalt!
I had finally hit,
My last breath taken.
With a deep inhale in.
And my last exhale it was finally over.
