Autumn, dearest, where have you gone?
Away to my home, my dear.
Why is your golden cloak on the ground?
I shan't need it now, my dear.
Why, Autumn, dearest, must you go?
It must be so my dear.
But I'm scared of the flakes that fall around!
The snow won't hurt you, my dear.
What of the frost which covers the ground?
It makes a sparkle, my dear.
Autumn, dearest, I'll miss you so!
And I you, my dear.
Please, please, do not go!
I've gone with the wind, my dear.
