All the girls in my family are known for curly, red hair. My mother, my sister, and I have luscious red locks that curl perfectly. The curls create a thick head of hair that gets hot in the summer and frozen in the winter. My hair has the feel and smell of the after salon trip.
My morning routine consists of showering with Chi shampoo and conditioner, then using a diffuser for the tight ringlets.
Straight hair is a rarity, as natural curls refuse to be straightened, and my hair hates to be heated. My mother always tells me to appreciate the hair I have because it makes me different. And now that I am older, I understand. In a school full of 2,000 students, the ones with the glowing red hair stand out the most.
