I am a midday’s still
Foggy lens behind the eye
Clouds that stir in a hazy sky
A chirping bird silenced by the hour
A grayness that hovers and stops the time
A dog stops barking
And so does a chime
We will stand in limbo. Still.
Waiting for the minute to pass
So we can start again.
