The boy’s clock
Will stop.
As everyone’s does.
Except this time,
He will die,
Sooner than any other.
In front of the barrel of a gun,
Held by a police officer or gangster who saw him run.
But really, what’s the difference between the two thugs?
The boy’s clock
Will stop.
Tick.
Tock.
The race of the boy will not be revealed,
Remaining concealed,
Because you probably already know,
Or have assumed.

I wrote this during a time where shootings were taking place back to back (not that it does not happen everyday) both caused by the police and gangs. Many Americans were disappointed with the system and still are.
