Cherry Bomb
Minty mouths share midnight smokey ideas
side by side under the stars we dream
talk of running away and never looking back
Broken glass allows us entry in our home
a place we don’t belong but is purs for the night.
Walking among the dead only visiting these hallowed grounds
wishing we could stay permanently as residents in the grave
Running through abandoned fields
stealing wildflowers as we go
waking up the ground barefooted and free
We don’t think twice about what we do
if it feels right we do it, our brains are in sync
nothing lasts and all this will end
but we make the most of it while we can
Polaroids don't capture how we feel
Our minds are revived as our naked bodies dip into the water covered in glitter
surrounded by cigarette smoke
