The shower
I step into the shower
Just trying to find a place of warmth
In this Ice Box I call my home.
I crave the warm water
Turning it up just enough
Before it is too hot
As time drifts away
I find myself sitting in the tub
Letting the hot beads of water
Bounce off of my back.
Every few moments turning up the heat
Before the water gets too cold.
All in hopes that I wont have to leave
This place that brings me peace.
Because as soon as I step out of the tub
I know
I will have to face reality again.
I prolong it as much as I can
But then Ii face the End.
Now it is time for me to step Outside.
