Food Uniting Family
Thanksgiving...my favorite time of year.
The soft sound of the timer on the oven rings as all else disappears.
Thoughts of ham and turkey, oh how I anticipate the taste.
mashed potatoes with green bean casserole on top, oh my stomach starts to sing.
My brothers sneak drinks of  sparkling wine before the family toast.
As my family gathers around the table like — 
pilgrims gathering for their first feast . . . eating, drinking, and conversing
memories form as we share special times.
I can't wait . . . only 364 days until next Thanksgiving!
