i'll never forget the first time i saw you
the way your eyes sparkled as you laughed
those stubborn little dimples each time you smiled
the freckles spreading like constellations across your nose
the scars that lined your arms with memories
or the warmth of your skin against my own
i'll never forget this because
in that moment i knew you were
the one.
