everyone searches for meaning

everyone wants a light that's gleaning 

they despise the darkness that's ever creeping 

slowly surrounding 

slowly drowning out the light 

killing what's on the inside 

corrupting the out 

why steer away from it 

why run 

why fight 

why not slip gently into the night 

out sight is faltering failing 

we're flailing around 

screaming 

crying on the ground like we're two years old 

but as w get old

we grow out of the lies but our grip on reality is loose 

in the end we always lose

everybody searches for meaning 

everybody wants a light that's gleaning

and the darkness comes creeping 

and we dont fear it 

we scramble to be near it

is it not clear that 

we're creatures of the night 

and theres no need to fight it
