Sudden End
Although the music blared
through my ears,
so much silence.
Moment was frozen,
it was the ending of
a very long beginning.
At the end,
it’s all the same
Different years and different people.
The legends aren’t even legends anymore
in our minds they always will be.
We all think the songs we sing
leave an impact,
but do they really?
Hands pointing to the sky will never change,
Only the hands will,
not the direction.
The day I step off the stage will
not be my last but
it will.
The songs that I sing will be just
another way to tell the time.
Not tonight.
Tonight it rained and we all know
the pavement is sparkling.
We exit,
not with words,
with song.
