We hoist
Up the sails
And tie off the halyard,
Uncleat the painter
And cast off
The sails luff and flap
But soon catch their wind
We’re off
Around the sand bar
Tacking through the channel
Thru Quitsa
Thru Menemsha
Past the Bite
Out into the Sound
With the jeanneau full
We pick up our speed
With the wind off the port bow
and the spray in our eyes
We’re well on our way
To Cuttyhunk
