Private Property
I am a man-made abandoned house.
How are you going to build me up brick-by-brick,
Promise by promise,
Lay down the foundation with your bare hands and
Hoist the support beams,
Pulling me up and close.
Each detail handcrafted exactly how you wanted.
This is the home that you built.
It cannot be bought,
Sold,
Forgotten.
You own this house.
And now it’s taking up space in my body, no longer my property.
And if you won’t live here, neither can I.
