A New Beginning
Loud arguments fill the room
I stand in the hallway listening in, screaming
But no one can hear me
I'm all alone
I am the mediator
In the middle of it all
Two different versions of why it came to an end
Switching households each week
Adapting to opposite parenting styles
I try to cope with the change
I slowly feel myself begin to drift
Daydreaming about when it all went wrong
Searching for answers in prayer
I Feel empty inside
Left with a memories of what used to be
My mind flooded in overwhelming thoughts
Time lead to the answers I was seeking
I finally understood why
It happened for the best
Now they hear me
I’m no longer alone
