Friendship
On seeing a packet of seed on a store shelf,
what shall be its purpose in the garden?
The choice of seed at worst will open Pandora’s Box
or at best become a sequoia.
The seed might be known,
when grounded in the plot.
Will it be left to fail to transpire from its shell,
or be watered and bathed in sunlight?
With enough care and tact,
the seed will emerge.
And when the seed does flower,
the effort does not stop there.
The flower itself may not be eternal,
but the memory of them always continually persist.
