Lasting Grip
I was about
to let go of
the ledge
cutting and stabbing
at my stubborn
grip that refused
But at last,
I held on only
by my pinkie nail
Somebody reeled
me back out
towards the surface
and reminded me
that I had to
keep fighting
until the real
end.
