Her Colouring Page
The makings of one great picture,
before her extremities spread.
A white canvas with lines spurred
here, there, across everywhere along.
The masterpiece could bes,
up for any and every interpretation.
The rainbow of crayons aside begging for use
Her slothy fingers reach for the meaning;
Her masterpiece’s dignity.
She fills the spaces,
Contents the empty.
At once she settles,
Lays her crayon of choice down.
She has settled
Her picture is complete;
No expectation of the colouring page unfulfilled
Every empty space taken up--
