Sleepless Nights
I tend to find myself intertwined in entangled sheets
It may just be a lack of sleep
Tasteless dreams
That I will not know
Each thought enveloped in inadequate mistakes
I credit these errors in which I owe
Old honey doesn't dissolve in fresh tea
Just as expired sugar gets stuck in the crevices of teeth
Insects welcomed inside after an open window on a rainy night
Empty winds trapped in the fabric of a child's kite
Crumpled up napkins
Sand in shoes
Cutting knots out of hair
Glasses sliding down the bridge of a nose
Laughter follows each imperfection
And will lead to a life more than simply hollow

I wanted to write a piece about the things that may be deemed less than worthy for any kind of poem. I enjoy the little things I believe some things deserve to be seen.
