We are immigrants

We are immigrants,
We work hard for what we want
Until our body can’t, we won’t stop
Not being able to support our family is a scary thought
We came for a better life but others couldn’t because while crossing they got caught
We came for the justice and liberty for all
But in reality we had to fight for what we want
We first fought for an equal education
Then we became victims of gentrification
And now we are fearing deportation
We can’t let that stop us
Lets just hope for the best
And strive for success!
We are immigrants

I was inspired to write this piece because I noticed all the events that are going on around us. I want people to realize that we can come together as a strong community and fight against anything that's stopping us from succeeding. We as an immigrant community have to stay strong and focus on the best.
