Bottle Memory
The clear liquid was not clear to me
I knew what it was
The happiness within it
A feeling I would soon have
The glass was cool against my hand
A cork at the top
The liquid splashed within
I wanted to open it
The cork is off
My mind is awake
The liquid evaporates
I inhale
I am somewhere else
My most favorite memory
A warped hallucination
One I never want to part with
I awaken from the daze
I used my last memory
I have no more bottles
My heart is in agony
A window open
There is a cool breeze
The window sill hurts my feet
Gravity is my friend
A long fall
Filled with memories
Life flashing before my eyes
Without the use of a memory bottle
Death is silent
No noise or sounds
All my memories hit the ground
Along with my spirit

I am a student in a creative writing class at school. My teacher gave us this very interesting prompt. We had to write a peom or short story based on a universe where it is possible to bottle and save your favorite memories. I took a rather dark turn with it.
