Alone
Red and broken,
She feels as if she's dying.
She wears a mask
To make sure she's not a burden.
Tired and shattered
And She's smiling on the outside,
Wondering if she'll be able to live again
She pushes away all she loves most.
She breaks down inside,
Every time her parents
compare her to her siblings.
She continues smiling knowing it's better to hurt inside.
She throws away her mask for just a while
Hoping she'll be able to love again
Hoping she wouldn't need it anymore.
Wondering if living is still worth it
But who would I be if I wasn't so broken
If I wasn't so alone, so lost.
If I could truly smile again,
Would you hurt me like before?
