Enough Already
I breathe
in, out
in, out
heart achingly
underused, underappreciated.
Not accustomed
to racing
and pounding
at simplistic,
trivial things.
Things like
the gentle,
easy curve
of red
lips and
dark hair
and painfully
blue eyes.
Eyes that
hold starry,
cold skies
and lush
forests during
tempests, monsoons,
and rain
filled fog.
