Darkness in Beauty

His darkness lured me
A fly in the mouth of a venus trapper
Desperately wanting to believe he was good
I leaned in to touch him

His jealousy drove me mad
And I left
Left him to wallow in his darkness
It broke my heart to leave
But if I had stayed
I would crave the taste of darkness
And it would consume me
