My Home
My Home
Elmwood park was a nice and respected neighborhood
But now it’s as trashy as a dumpster respectable no more
Times are changing far too fast for future fellow friends in the community
The air has a new scent of drugs, violence and problems
When before the air was of warmth, welcome, and success
The neighborhood is not as lively as it used to be
No Animals are dancing with joy anymore
Elmwood park was the first home that I ever had
As comforting as a mother to a baby
My ancestors saw this area as an escape from the war
Running from a bull who had caused mass destruction
Forever In my heart this place will reside
This wonderful place will make me warm forever
Elmwood Park Elmwood Park respectable no more.
