Thank you for crafting kinship out of bedtime stories

And being our knights

When you needed no castle to defend;

Thank you for being the parents 

That I never really had throughtout my childhood

For showing me what a family really is

I don't know where I would be without yall

Grandparents are so important

When a parent lets down all hopes

Grandparents will pick them up

When a parent forgets to cook dinner

Ride over to your grandparents house, they will

My grandparents are people that I would never disrespect

People that I would never dishonor

I love my grandparents
