Holding Hurt

Love wasn't enough to describe what I felt for you.
Before the knife dug around inside my back,
the blood came out cold.
And maybe love is enough now.
Because I never thought it could hurt this bad,
or be this hard.
And I never thought I'd love so much what only wanted,
to kill me.
