Fear of the Flood
The storm rages on.
Rain pelting against the roof.
Lightning flashing through my curtains.
But I am not afraid.
Thunder rumbles like a monster woken from its slumber.
Rain pours like the deep ocean that is weeping for the coast.
The ground can not hold the grief of the ocean so it floods the streets.
The streets are overflowing into the house drowning anything in its path.
People are screaming.
Children are crying.
Loved ones are dying.
They fear the unknown.
The uncertainty of the storm.
They fear destruction.

This is how I would imagine the people during the great flood felt just pure and utter fear of the unknown.
