A new start

It does not take a new year
to make a brand new start.
A chance to modify our mistakes
and restore our heart.
Roses dont last forever,
they lose their flaming red.
Just as ambitions unacted,
just as words unsaid.
It does not take a new year
to complete a dream.
A chance to flash to the future
and perform what we’ve seen.
Doves don’t always walk,
they eventually learn to fly.
Just as goals completed,
just as love confied.
It does not take a new year
to make a brand new start.
