The world cried cold one day
The world cried cold one day,
drowning the ground in its icy sorrow.
The grass suffocated, frozen over;
the trees, muffled by ice, called to say
“Oh, Mother Nature, please don’t weep so!”
Her mood infectious, everything
continued to droop down low;
however, her tears so loud, she
noticed not until all seemed sleeping.
She gasped at how she had been too slow
to recognize the state she had caused.
Looking close, she watched with sadness
to this beautifully tragic wonder of crystalline
grandeur; for nothing chills the soul greater when paused
than nature, and all of it’s natural madness.
