Angels and Devils

“I love to make you happy,
let’s go to the party!”
cried the Id.
“I love being strict,
stay home and do homework!”
boomed the Superego.
Angel and Devil,
bickering, arguing, disputing.
Out of nowhere, a voice so loud and monstrous,
it shook them.
“ENOUGH!” boomed the voice.
“You will go to the party after you do your
homework and that is an order!”,
the Ego commanded.
The Angel and Devil,
so taken aback,
shook hands in approval
and that was that.
