War Torn
This war she fights
Seems to be infinite among the future she abides.
These shackles she commandeers,
Begin to harden
On the black and white barbed wire fence,
The people mock and jeer.
Fore all that stands stagnant there
Is a woman lifeless?
Her body is torn,
From this bloody sheath
That hampers the truth in its wrinkles.
And now she,
Reflecting those same wrinkles,
Sits alone
With no one to hold
With no one to care
She holds herself
In infinite yearning
To the life she never gave.
