The thing about music is when it hits you, you feel no pain. --bob marley

Yesterday I was fine,
Today I just feel like drawing them lines.
Even though my feelings are down,
I don't always have a frown.
This society's so messed up,
All of a sudden everyone's abrupt.
Young boys and girls feel as if they don't belong,
Then all of a sudden their precious life is gone.
Little girl failed at her attempt,
Just another life used to represent.
Parents, schools, and peers don't take us seriously,
When all we want is for them to notice briefly.
How long is it gonna take,
To get people to notice we just want a break.
Homework, test, and bullies,
Fourteen years of our lives filled with these.
Schools just one thing on the list,
That makes all of us so p-----.
Twelve year old being diagnosed with anxiety and depression,
And all we want is to stop stressing.
Eleven year old's taking razors to their skin,
Young teens drinking and doing drugs to feel bliss.
Please tell me what we did to make the world so p-----,
so p----- they treat us kids like were all dissed.

Please try telling me society's not messed up,
Ill just tell you your eyes must be shut.
Its clear to see what society's done,
Making millions of people feel like their no one.
Some kids cant learn,
Because their flesh and skin burns.
Purple and blue use to be just another color on the color wheel until one day daddy had one to many beers,
And the colors ended up on your skin, which just brought up another CPS deal.
When I was little I wanted my room painted red,
But then I got older and realized I liked it better on my skin instead.
I know I haven't had the worst of life,
But im only fourteen an I want to drink a ninth.
Right now I am actually happy to see,
All my siblings being treated better than me.
The pain I felt I wouldn't wish upon anyone,
I would hate for another little girl to feel like no one.

I wrote this piece when I was in a bad place last year in my freshman year of highschool. It made me feel so much better to let my feelings out than to talk to some stranger about it. This piece i wrote will always be my most emotional.
