I’m from a family that hates to stay in doors.
We adventure together, with friends, and even alone.
The mountains are where we spend our time,
sometimes, even the ocean calls out our name.
When going on Vacation,
It has to be somewhere with adventures outside.

I’m from a home where sports are an escape.
The field, the lake, the trail, even the TV.
Football sunday is a family pastime.
I was taught to channel my emotions and to overcome,
All thanks to sports.
Wakeboarding provided peace and serenity.
Soccer offered aggression and tension release.
Football spikes joy and energy.

I’m from a church that loves all.
A place where not one person is better than another.
No matter what your past is stained with,
my church will find love for you in their hearts.
I feel God’s presence in the community,
friendship, and joy that pulses with my church.

I am who I am because of where I am from.
