Love in the Library
There can be no greater feeling,
this one thing that gets me reeling
is to have found love in the library
Elegance and composure spread across pages,
adventures, romances,
themes about our own mental cages,
the tender way literature
can touch the soul is immeasurable.
However, eventually we all find
This love is not a monogamous kind
And the real thing seems all the sweeter.
For if all lovers were like readers,
all affairs like books,
they’d all come with that initial hook,
but in the end we’d label each other
all cheaters.
