Recipe for the Perfect Woman

Sometimes i dream that i will become rail thin–
so that the layer of fat covering my stomach
will melt away into the sleek form of
a runway model and my legs and arms
will slim into bone and
i will grow a thin layer of hair
all over my body
fine and dark like the insulation of
a baby gorilla and
i will shed the clothes that no longer suit me
and retreat into the woods behind my house where
i will scrabble, amongst the leaves,
for dinner.
