Somedays I find myself thinking
Pondering why things had to take a turn for the worst
At first I found myself missing you but now it’s a thirst
A taste of the old days when we were young and free

No words can express, no rhyme can explain
The hollow feeling that won’t go away
The hammer on my heart when I push open your doors
And the stabbing when I take it all in

Laughing, crying, all the memories that took place
Even my lips quiver if I stand in the right spot
My reckless mind takes me back to that night
But the pain surrounding it brings me back to this new reality

It’s gone, it’s over, there’s nothing left here anymore
Just some scattered pieces and a few broken hearts
And all that remains between us is some wounded pride
No one was right, no one was wrong,
It was fate that we would say one last goodbye

This is a poem I wrote about missing a certaian place.  Somewhere you used to go all the time, a place of great significance.  And now all you have left are the memories from that place.
