Black Lives Matter
they talk about how "woke" they are
yet all i see is them tweeting a hashtag
it shows their support
yet i don’t think they realize how much is actually happening
there was brown
there was martin
there was hamilton
there was garner
there was anderson
there was robinson
just to name a few
they have their arms up
yelling “Don’t shoot!”
yet they end up at the morgue.
we're left to wonder,
why is this happening?
are you really afraid for your life or are you afraid of their skin?
we shout that black lives matter
yet all you respond with is
"what about other lives?”
we fight for equality
but to others we fight for superiorty
we're just saying that
black lives matter too.
