Silence

I feel it everyday,
the pounding in my head.
It never goes away.
It fills me with dread.
My friends try to help,
but my family makes it worse.
it's a scream not just a yelp.
this life is a curse.
My head is like a prison,
no way to escape.
My thoughts are a poison
there's a mask but no cape.
A fake smile that I wear
hides the pain within.
No seems to care,
that I'm silently screamin'.
