Nothing More
There is nothing more that I would love
Than to go back and express to them
That something is wrong
That none of this normal
There is nothing more that I would love
Than to go back and tell them,
Warn them of what is to come
Let them know about his thoughts
Explain to them that the chemicals in his brain
Don't work as they should
There is nothing more that I would love
Than to go back and scream to them
He's doing things that you don't know
Doing things that would cause an eternal divide
That would take years of meticulous help to fix
There is nothing more that I would love
Than to go back and let him know
None of this is his fault
The devilish thoughts you have
Or the actions you will pursue
There's nothing more that I would love
Than to go back and explain to them
That it would be twice more until all is figured out
And there are more hardships ahead
There's nothing more that I would love
Than to go back and whisper softly in their ears
It gets better
There is nothing more that I would love
Than than to go back
And see them smile
To go back to when we were all happy
