last night i had that dream again
November 22, 2016
last night i had that dream again
where im driving across a causeway
watching the sun creep down the horizon
the beauty of it is so warm and pleasing
but because it’s a dream it’s only teasing
autumnal sunsets, nothing new-
but not any less beautiful
pink and orange fade to peach
it’s already fading out of reach
withering to gray
stars come out to play
the seasons are changing
along with the sky
close your eyes sometimes
and take a moment to feel
stick your arm out the window
turn the music up a little
