I Thought You Were Different
We're always taught
To not judge a book by the cover.
But what about when
They say, "I lover her."
I now for some
It's within the story;
But for others,
They say it for glory.
They don't mean what they say,
Or say what they mean.
I should've known from the beginning,
Because you are as you seem.
I thought you were different.
I thought you were sweet.
But in the end...
You were just dirt beneath my feet.
