Trying to push it back
Farther and farther
But it won’t budge
Even when your back is the bulk of the effort
Trying to make it stay where you want
With all your might
You try to fight
Because it’s right
The hands of time
Pushing forward
Need to be denied
Memories are irrelevant
Age, too
For the hands of time don’t stop for either
they don’t have time
