Disturbing the Peace
Sitting, floating
Waiting for the adrenaline to kick in
You give the motion and you're off
Slowly moving up and up
Then finally you're out
Gliding on glass
You turn to stare at what to you looks like opportunity
to others looks like pain
You take a couple seconds to question is it worth it
But by now you know it is
So you cut hard and send it
Shooting faster than you ever have
you launch into the air you sore
Hovering above a surface so smooth you feel bad for landing there
You land standing in a place other sink
leaving a trail which only memories can see
As the light fades and the colors change
The ground glistens orange and you know
Make it last
Cause soon you'll be sinking

I wrote this poem because as it slowly becomes colder I begin to miss wakeboarding more and more.
