My Star MAG
It wasn’t because it was brighter
It wasn’t because it was bigger
No
Something about the way it twinkled
I couldn’t look away
No
I noticed it
It was a speck in a dark sea of lights
I could tell it was looking at me too
It noticed me
I was a speck in a dark sea of lights
I didn’t want to lose sight of it
I called it my star
I knew that if I looked away,
I might never be able to find it again
I bet it felt the same way about me
If my star looked away,
It might never be able to find me again
I’ll never know if I see my star again
My star will never know if it sees me again
Something about that star
That tiny star
Its dim light
Its subtle sparkle
That star is me
If someone looks away for a moment
I could get lost
I’m just one of many
But I am special
My star is special
We’re both bigger and brighter than we seem
