At The Break Of Dawn

My reflection of darkness
Casts a shadow over the sunrise
Helpless and heartless
Sparkling dull eyes
As soon as you arrive you’re gone
Your beauty masked with lies
At the break of dawn
We will rise
Rays of sunlight pour
Over the land
I fall to the floor
Barely able to stand
Only my shadow lies beside me
My only company
Hardly able to breathe
Why am I so weak
Is the brightness
Finally overcoming my full eclipse
Brave and dauntless
Yet there seems to be nothing left
