Alone in a desert a young boy sits
Cracked dirt, wilted trees, endless skies
There is nothing
Nothing besides dead earth and the blue
Such a harsh place
It’s hot, it’s painful, it’s changing

When night comes it's different
The blue sky decays into an endless abyss
there's more light than he's ever seen
It's cold, he's hungry, but he sees the moon
he's hypnotised by its beauty
The ground seems dead
but the sky lives

Men have been up there
They've walked,
they've laughed,
they've lived

But not by admiring it from afar
